The Value of a Name

Released on = September 4, 2006, 10:34 am

Press Release Author = Richard Robinson

Industry = Management

Press Release Summary = Understanding the value of acquiring the right to
communicate with a prospect over an extended period of time.

Press Release Body = It seems that a lot of people don\'t really understand the value
of continued contact with their prospects as Mike Dillard teaches in his book.

Many people expect to get a prospect to their web site and sell that prospect on the
spot. Sure, that happens, but how often?

Let\'s say you have highly targeted advertising, and you have a really great web site
that captivates people, and you make a sale to 1 of every 50 people that come to
your site. Good, but
what about the other 49?

I mean, making an immediate sale to one person is great, but what if you could do
something different that would eventually lead to 10, 15 or 20 sales?

Here\'s a question: Would you prefer to make one sale and never know who the other 49
were, or would you prefer to not make any immediate sales but get the name and email
address of 20, 30 or 40 of the 50 visitors?

If you chose the one sale, you\'re short-sighted. Why? Because if you have a chance
to build a relationship with 20, 30 or 40 people,
its very likely that you will eventually make many more than just one sale!

If you really want to master this and similar concepts, Mike\'s book is the best
place to start.
